Tris knew that behind Nita’s explanation about the plan, there was another dark purpose. It was a rebellion towards The Bureau of Genetic Welfare who was likely to consider the GDs as sick peoples. One day, Tris and Tobias were offered to join Nita’s rebel group. And there, due to Nita and Matthew’s laboratory check of Tris’ and Tobias’ genes, Tris and Tobias found out that Tris was a GP while Tobias was actually not a Divergent, he’s a GD.įeeling depressed because he kinda lost his identity, Tobias made wrong choices.

People who weren’t a Divergent were they whose genes are ‘genetically damaged’, which means they still had bad things in them. Tris and Tobias also found out that the word “Divergent” actually referred to people whose genes are ‘genetically pure’, which means they had complete humanity. That made Tris hated them since she thought that The Bureau was cruel by controlling people’s life. They also controlled every cameras on Chicago. The Bureau of Genetic Welfare completely controlled Chicago and other experiment cities. There, Tris and Tobias found out that actually Chicago was just an experiment to restore people’s humanity. Lead by Johanna, they went to The Bureau of Genetic Welfare. followed by their friends : Christina (Tris’ bestfriend), Uriah (Tris’ bestfriend), Tori, Cara, Peter (Tris’ nemesis), and Caleb (Tris’ brother who had betrayed her). To leave their city to build a brand new life, Tris and Tobias were helped by an alliance called Allegiant which is lead by Johanna Reyes (the ex-leader of the faction Amity) and Cara (an Erudite born girl). While Chicago had some governmental system changes because of a revolution to defy Jeanine Matthews (a tyrant in Chicago), Tris and her boyfriend Tobias Eaton were hungry to see what’s beyond the fence of their city.

This is a story about Beatrice Prior (nicknamed Tris) who finally revealed the secrets beyond the fence around the futuristic Chicago which was deadlier than the secrets she revealed before. The most heartbreaking novel I have ever read! Best dystopian novel ever!
